September offers for group short breaks on Mull and Iona

With a minimum stay of 3-nights, you can book the whole house for up to 13 guests in 6 bedrooms with ensuite or private bathroom, starting at £1425 for 3-nights, and £2328 for a week. Due to the late availability we can also offer the reduced rate of £270 per night for a small group of up to 6 guests and three bedrooms, with extra charges for additional guests and bedrooms. Late September is a lovely time to escape to the Ross of Mull.  The weather is often the best of the summer and there are fewer people around.  You can enjoy any one of our beautiful beaches to yourself with warmer temperatures in the sea for those who enjoy an open water swim. 

It’s a great time to spot wildlife, with many birds leaving the nest, with some getting ready for a migration and new winter visitors starting to arrive.  The Ross of Mull is a hot spot to see our permanent resident hen harriers, and several species of owl.  The red deer are starting their rut, with the evocative sound of bellowing stags echoing around the hills.  The land and sea tours are still running, which is an excellent way to encounter many of Mull’s iconic species, from white-tailed and golden eagles, to otters and dolphins.

There are several excellent local eateries still open to choose from on Mull and Iona and locally you can buy fresh seafood from Iona and venison and other meats from the local crofts. For photographers and artists, the early morning and late evening light is inspirational, but still with 13 hours of daylight for those interested in walking, climbing and cycling. There are many lovely local walks with nothng better than log fires and a wood burning hot tub waiting for your return!
